Leading NRI MP Rt Hon Keith Vaz, Chairman of Britain's Home Affairs Committee, presented a framed golden coloured plaque to the 33-year old actress last night. Others who were honoured by the Asian Sunday Newspaper are singer Kimberley Walsh and magician Dynamo (Aka Steven Frayne) for their contributions to the global entertainment industry.

While receiving the award, Kareena said, "UK has been one of my most favoured destinations. There has always been special relation between India and the UK and over the years the bond has become stronger.

" She recalled that her great grandmother was British and her father-in-law, late Nawab of Pataudi, captained Oxford cricket team. "England has been kind to me," she stated. -Agencies
