Naresh was to play Allu Arjun's Arya

Director Trivikram Srinivas confessed sometime last month that Athadu which changed the star status of Superstar Mahesh Babu would have starred Power Star Pawan Kalyan if he hadn't dozed off during the script narration. In fact, Pawan Kalyan not Mahesh Babu was the first choice to play the lead in Athadu.

This is not uncommon or unheard of in the film industry. At times, film makers write a script keeping someone in mind but the actor for whom it's written may not really star in the role due to date issues or simply because it didn't appeal enough to accept the offer.

And it also happens that the missed movie goes on to become a blockbuster hit and also turns out to be a turning point in the actor's career. There are several examples of such examples.

One such case is that of Arya which made stylish star Allu Arjun a star. Director Sukumar who's now busy with the post production work of Mahesh Babu's 1 Nenokkadine tells that Arya was scripted keeping actor Allari Naresh in mind. Allu Arjun made the movie even bigger, he adds.

Well, we too think nobody could have suited the role better or done justice to the role as Arjun did.
