We told you last week that Prince Mahesh Babu might feel threatened by Pawan not just in film, but also in endorsement deals.
It's a known fact that Pawan was approached by a soft drink brand that is being endorsed by Mahesh for a long time now. Pawan too was keen on being the company's brand ambassador. But all that comes at a price, naturally. We hear Pawan demanded unreasonable remuneration because of which the company is now having second thoughts on roping in Pawan.
The recent popularity and trade talk of Pawan being No.1 star perhaps prompted the power star to demand a little more. However, looks like it boomeranged! Besides, Pawan had turned down several other brand endorsement offers including a jewellery brand presently being endorsed by Jr NTR and a liquor brand.
Pawan is no doubt on top after Atharintiki Daredi became a super-duper hit. This would have been the ideal time for him to cash in on his popularity. Looks like he acted in haste and lost the deal.
Moreover, several advertisers are waiting for the release of Mahesh's 1 Nenokkadine. Should that become a hit, then Mahesh will again become the most preferred actor in Tollywood to endorse brands.
What happens next? Will Pawan do some damage control or he is willing to lose the money?
