Mahesh, the show stealer

The audio of ‘Hrudayam Ekkadunnadi’, starring newcomers Krishna Maadhav, Anusha and Samskruti was unveiled by Superstar Mahesh Babu on Tuesday evening at Prasad’s Lab in Hyderabad. Vishal Chandrasekar, alumni of AR Rahman’s School of Music, has composed the sound track. Mahesh, who dropped by the audio function much later than the scheduled time, said that Maadhav, who is in fact his cousin, had worked as an assistant director for ‘Khaleja’ and ‘Dookudu’. “My sister Priyadarshini introduced him to me. I had my apprehensions about him but he worked earnestly for both the films,” said Mahesh in a brief speech. As is the case with his presence, his fans thronged in numbers to get a dekho of him.

A romantic entertainer, ‘Hrudayam Ekkadunnadi’ is directed by Anand. He earlier assisted AR Murugadoss. “When I went to seek his blessings, he advised me to focus on human emotions than budget, actors, or the genre. I remembered his words everyday and after watching the rushes, I felt that the film has come out just the way he said.”

Maadhav said that being an actor is not just his dream, but also his dad’s. “I was keen on working in a heart-touching film. I hope people who will catch our film will share my feeling. I’ve learnt discipline from Mahesh. He is my role model,” he said. The film is a joint production of Pavan Mantripragada and Sanjay Muppaneni.
