'1 Nenokkadine" will be special to Mahesh Babu for various reasons. The 'Prince' is returning to silver screen after the massive successes of Businessman and Dookudu. But '1 Nenokkadine" is also special because it will mark the debut of his son, seven-year-old Gautham.
When quizzed on how he zeroed in on Gautham to play the role of young Mahesh in the film, director Sukumar said it was purely by accident. Sukumar has auditioned many a young boy for the role, but wasn't satisfied with anyone. Then one day when he went to meet Mahesh in his place, his son, who was playing nearby suddenly fell. As soon as Sukumar got up to help, Mahesh intervened.
He strictly asked his son to stop acting like he is hurt. Sukumar realised then that Gautham had natural acting talent and thought of introducing the young boy through '1 Nenokkadine".
