ANR's last screen appearance in Manam

There was something about Akkineni Nageshwara Rao that appealed to film buffs. Be it his mischievous smile, the way he chided actresses on screen or even his ever smiling face in real life, any film enthusiast could easily take a liking to the legendary actor.

It's hard to believe the actor is no more. But only consolation is that the Akkineni fans will get a chance to watch his performance one last time in his yet to be released movie Manam. Perhaps his battle with cancer made him realise he did not have many days left.

Although he came out in the open to clear the air about his illness, it was surely shocking when he disclosed that he had been battling cancer. This too was the reason why the family decided to launch their dream project - the Akkineni family multi-starrer Manam. The film stars three generations of the Akkineni family. Nagarjuna-Amala's son Akhil too is reportedly doing a cameo in the film which will be his second outing on the big screen.
