Salman Khan may have earned brownie points when for flying kites with Narendra Modi. But his harmonious gesture has not gone down well with his community people. Particularly the MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi who expressed displeasure over the episode saying Salman was not a Muslim at all.


The MIM MP had also called on Hyderabadis not to buy tickets of Salman's Jai Ho. And now, it looks like his the city's denizens were all ears to his talk.


A news report doing the rounds suggests that theatres saw only 30% audience on the opening day of Salman's Jai Ho. Normally, Salman's movies run to packed houses and this half empty theatres scenario is hard to digest and unbelievable, feel theatre owners in the ciy who are disappointed with the dip in sales of tickets.


Interestingly, Salman's Jai Ho is a remake of the Telugu original Stalin which starred megastar Chiranjeevi and Trisha.


Now, it remains to be seen if the sale of tickets will pick up over the weekend.
