Highway Hindi movie review, rating

Ali Bhatt's much-publicised film under Imtiaz Ali's direction hit theatres on Friday.

Analysis:

It's an Imtiaz Ali story and you know what to expect! Remember his earlier films Jab We Met, Love Aaj kal - a unique love story. This too is one of those.

Veera played by Alia Bhatt, daughter of a rich businessman, is all set to get hitched. But the pre-wedding pressure gets to gets to her. To de-stress she and her fiance decide to take off on a long drive on the Highway. However, fate has other plans in store for her. She is kidnapped on her way and what follows next is only a journey at a slow pace.

There are several scenes that the script did not demand. On the whole, it's a Alia film all the way. Randeep Hooda as the kidnapper too has given his best but has little scope to showcase his talent. Rahman music and cinematography is the only saving grace!
