'Hrudaya Kaleyam' director attacked

Hyderabad: Steven Shankar, director of the latest film ‘Hrudaya Kaleyam’, was attacked by a youth at Madhapur here in the wee hours of Sunday. According to reports, the attacker was one Manoj. It is learnt that Steven, Sampoornesh Babu, the lead actor of the film, and other members of the film crew were having a party at Westin Hotel in Madhapur.

A heated verbal duel erupted between Steven and the youth, who abused the director for introducing Sampoornesh as the hero.

When the film maker tried to argue with him and his group, he was beaten black and blue.

The director was said to have suffered minor injuries in the attack and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Later, the director lodged a complaint with Madhapur police.
