Aishwarya Rai supports Modi at Cannes

The stunning Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made headlines with her breathtaking appearance at the Cannes Film Festical in a Roberto Cavalli fishtail gown. It was not only her spectacular look which attracted the media, but also what she had to say on Narendra Modi's sweeping victory in India.

Speaking to media present at the Cannes, the diva revealed that she was very happy about Modi's victory and is thrilled to see him as the next Prime Minister of India. She says that she feels India will develop and prosper under his leadership, adding that she looks forward to see India shining.

Aishwarya's open praise of Modi got her many nods fro his supporters back home, though the fact that she was a Modi-fan probably didn't come as a surprise since her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan, has previously worked with Modi to promote Gujarat tourism.
