A bold subject

The shooting of Aadi-starrer ‘Galipatam’ is over. Currently in post production, the film which sees Erica Fernandez and Kristina Akheeva alongside Aadi, is ‘Racha’ director Sampath Nandi’s first shot at film production. Stating that he had second thoughts about venturing into production at such a young age, he said, “If not for my friends, the film’s concept and the idea of nurturing new talent through the film, I wouldn’t have produced it. It deals with contemporary issues. We will release the trailer in a week or in ten days.”

Describing the film as a bold film, a first of its kind for south audience, actor Aadi said, “From my look to characterisation, everything has been taken care of by director Naveen. I promise the audience that they will get to see a new Aadi.” Seconding Aadi’s opinion, actress Kristina said the director has dwelled on a subject that is very new to south audience. Also starring Rahul Ravindran, Preeti Rana, Prachi Karthik, Posani Krishna Murali, Sapthagiri and Venu in supporting roles, the film has musical renditions by Bheems Ceciroleo.
