Popular Bollywood flick ‘Dev D’ was adopted from the story of popular Bengali Novel Devdas. Prominent Director Anurag Kashyap was applauded with one National Award and five Filmfare Awards for the movie that was filmed to suit contemporary settings of the society.
If the buzz is to be believed, the Telugu remake will have one of the legatees of ANR in its casting. The film nagar has not yet confirmed the total casting for the remake. While Naga Chaitanya is busy with another movie and the chances for introducing Akhil with this movie are less probable, it is likely that either Suman or Sushanth may play the lead role in the remake. Audience need to wait and watch whether the super hit Devadasu turns out to be lucky to the grandchildren as it was for their grandfather ANR.
