The superstar along with his leading lady dropped by Hyderabad on Friday to promote the flick, which sees Bajirao Singham posted in Mumbai, flexing his muscles against goons of the financial capital of India.

Stating that only Bajirao Singham’s character is carried forward in the second installment, Devgn said the sequel has nothing to do with Tamil actor Suriya-starrer ‘Singham’, which inspired the actors’ confidant Rohit Shetty to come up with ‘Singham’. “It was challenging as we had a lot of pressure to match up to the first installment. Only after we got the right script, we went onto floors. It’s a fresh story altogether and is set on a bigger canvas both in terms of drama and action,” said Devgn, who is also co-producing the movie.

In fact, the actor says he believes that action will play a big part in the film’s showing at the box-office. “It’s real and more aggressive this time,” he shared. “The film is also loaded with powerful dialogues. I get to say my signature line, ‘Aata Majhi Satakli’, on multiple occasions,” he smiled.

Despite the film being shot predominantly in Hyderabad, especially in Ramoji Film City, Devgn is not new to the city. “I’ve been shooting here for the past seven to eight years. The place is very convenient for shooting and I love the food,” said the reclusive actor.

Kareena, who has turned extremely choosy with roles of late, said that she goes a long way with Rohit Shetty. “We did two ‘Golmaal’ films in the past and when he came to me with ‘Singham Returns’, I knew it would be special. I’m the entertainment factor in the film.”

Bebo, who plays the role of a Marathi mulgi from Goa in the film, says she has no issues that Ajay would overshadow her since the film centres on his character. “In ‘Iron Man’ Robert Downey Jr gets to do everything, but Gwyneth Paltrow has her moments,” she quipped. Ajay was quick to add to his co-star’s response. “The romantic track involving both of us required an actress who could pull it off with ease; we thought she would be the ideal choice.” Kareena, who is reportedly burning the midnight oil to impress husband Saif with her culinary skills these days, was quick to deny such stuff. “I haven’t been to the kitchen in the last seven to eight years. We have a great cook at home,” she chuckled.
