Actor Siddharth, who has starred in a number of Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films, says he is a self-made man.

“I don’t believe in luck. I’m a self-made man, be it as an actor, or a producer or a singer. None of my family members where in this (field) before me. So, everything that I am right now is because I wanted it,” Siddharth said at a recent event.

The actor, who was introduced in Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’ in 2002 and has had a successful run since then, especially in Telugu cinema.

“I have always tried to be in the right place at the right time. You never know when is the right time, so you have to be prepared all the time,” he said.

“You never know when the opportunity is going to come. It could be in the airport or anywhere else. You have to be ready,” he added.

When asked how he maintains his boy-next-door image despite being in his mid 30s, Siddharth replies, “I don’t have the habit of sporting a beard and I prefer to be clean-shaven since childhood. I believe it helps you look your best and gives you a sharp look.”
