Tollywood Says #MemuSaitam. As the Telugu cinema industry joined hands to say #MemuSaitam (meaning ‘We too’) to help in the relief operations of the areas affected by Cyclone HudHud, the hash tag started trending on Twitter as netizens pledged support by tweeting and retweeting.

The 12 hour telethon, Memu Saitam, a fund raiser hosted by Tollywood, grabbed all the limelight on TV on Sunday. The event began at 10 am and almost immediately, it became a trending topic on social media. The organisers were extremely happy with the feedback on TV.
Tollywood organised a series of events as part of Memu Saitam and collected funds to be handed over to Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu. While the ‘Dinner with Stars’ event was held on Saturday, ‘Cricket with Stars’ and ‘Tambola with Stars’ took place on Saturday. The events saw the presence of majority of the cinema brigade.
