Chiranjeevi turns Santa for a cancer patient

Invites the 10-yr-old for his 150th film

Christmas turned out to be a gala affair for a 10-year-old kid who is suffering from cancer. Megastar turned politician Chiranjeevi fulfilled the dream of Balu who is his ardent fan. The kid is currently being treated at MNJ Hospital in Lakadikapul.

Chiru, who came to know about the kid’s condition, rushed to the hospital and spent some time and presenting toys to Balu. As soon as the actor-politician entered, Balu surprised him when he enquired as to when Chiru would take up his 150th film. Chiru replied that he would take up the project as soon as he finds the right script. Buoyed with the boy's unconditional love, Chiranjeevi tied a thread to the boy's wrist and prayed for his speedy recovery and announced that Balu would play a role in his next film, much to the astonishment of the boy's parents.

"I came to know about Balu through the media and I felt that it was my duty to fulfill his wish," Chiranjeevi said adding that, "It's tragic that the boy had to undergo all the suffering for the past few years. No one deserves to be in this condition. I urge everyone to come forward and offer monetary and moral support to such patients and their families whenever you get a chance. This is the least we can do."

Balu, who is an ardent admirer of the Megastar, even requested him to dance. However Chiranjeevi quipped saying, "The day you recover and leave the hospital, please come to my house. We shall dance together to whatever song you wish at my place."

The young fan even recounted his favourite scenes and dialogues from Chiranjeevi's films like ‘Indra’, ‘Tagore’ and ‘Daddy’. It was a big boost for the kid as the doctors revealed to Chiru that the boy was recovering fast. A native of Adilabad district, Balu has been suffering from cancer for the past three years. The actor-turned-politician spent nearly 15 minutes at the hospital interacting with Balu and his parents, who were quite emotional over Chiru’s gesture.
