Established in 2013, ICCHA Foundation has been working with the objective of providing healthcare and welfare support to less privileged elderly people through a well-established team across India. ICCHA is an NGO working for underprivileged children - orphaned, abandoned, destitute and other vulnerable groups. Recently Ichha Foundation has handed over the cheque of Rupees 25,000 to Mr Vadhawkar. Founder of Ichha Foundation Mr Anand Chavan is supporting an actor who going through his hard time. Actor Ajay Vadhawkar famous for his character Ganpat Hawaldar in Doordarshan’s TV show Nukkad, who played the role is quite critical and is in need of help.

Anand Chavan said, “Mr Vadhawkar has no support. He is unemployed, sold his apartment and is living on rent in Kandivali, Mumbai. Six years ago his foot was amputated because of Diabetes. A year ago he was detected with throat cancer. At the age of 60, and after working in several movies and TV serials he cannot even afford the treatment and monthly living expenses. He has already spent 6-7 lakhs on his treatment.”

Vadhawkar has earlier worked in films like English Babu Desi Mem, Yes Boss and also in TV serial Pavitra Rishta. Chavan has even sent messages to various film personalities to lend Vadhawkar a support. “Till now I received positive reverts from choreographers like Sandip Soparrkar, Juhi Parmar, Ejaz Khan, Muskaan Mihani, Santosh Shukla, DOP Sukhwinder, Praveen Dusnaj and Terence Lewis. I am really hoping that we collect a considerate amount of money for his treatment.”
