Republic day special: Big B to sing National Anthem

This Republic day, the team of Shamitabh will pay tribute to Ravindranath Tagore and deliver a special rendition of the National anthem penned by the legend , in the voice of another legend.

Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan will sing the National Anthem and has shot the video at Ravindernath Tagore's house in Kolkata.

Mr. Bachchan shot the video while in the city for Shamitabh’s promotional tour - The special version of the National anthem will be SHAMITABH’s tribute to the world renowned poet and writer and will be dedicated to the country.

Says director R.Balki, " It is so surprising that the national anthem has never been filmed at the home of its author Rabindranath Tagore . Amitabh Bachchan the voice of Indian cinema pays homage to the song of the nation . Sung by Amitabh Bachchan the song echoes in the corridors of its author... What a feeling !!!!".

Says Amitabh Bachchan , " There is such pride and overflowing emotion when you sing the song of your Anthem .. I just did .. eyes filled with patriotic water".
