Nag loses his cool

At the launch, what came as a surprise was Nagarjuna losing his cool as fans cheered continuously. The agitated actor raised his hand and said, “Meeru noru musukunte nenu matladtanu” (If you shut up, I will talk).

For a brief spell, the hall did become quiet (of course they were a few whistles and jeers yet). He kept his hand raised for a few seconds and then looked towards the other direction and pointe his finger towards audiences there, indicating that he wanted the same there too.

While it is known that Nag is known to keep his cool, in general, here’s a rare instance when we saw the actor get agitated for a bit.

The launch of Akhil Akkineni’s debut flick was a grand affair with many renowned faces from Tollywood making their presence felt

The day was a special one for the Akkineni family as Nagarjuna, Amala and Naga Chaitanya spoke about how excited they were about his debut.

“Everyone in this hall seem excited but all of us have butterflies in stomach,” said Nagarjuna.

He added, “I am glad we launched Akhil in ‘Manam’ because now he has my father’s blessings. It was, in fact, my father’s idea to make him a part of the film because he was unwell. He told me that he didn’t have much time and so it would be nice if Akhil could start off then. I am glad he did as he now has my father’s blessings.”

“I know Nithiin, Sudhakar Reddy and VV Vinayak have put in a great effort towards this film since the past six months. And I promise the effort will show on the screen. It’s the fans who will be glad,” said the 55-year-old actor.

Akhil, who is making his debut under VV Vinayak’s directorial said he was fumbling for words on that occasion. “Before I came here, I wanted to say a lot. But when I see all of you (fans), I have no words. Now, I actually understand what they mean by “mind block”,” said the young actor.

Speaking about the film, which will be produced by his ‘best friend’ Nithiin, he said, “This film is a perfect mass film and will be a treat for the fans. Every scene will be the same. And I promise that every future film of mine will specially be made for fans. Because my grandfather used to say that fans are like Gods (abhimani devudlu) and I feel the same too. All the love and adulation you give us is amazing. I thank you so much for all this.”
