Tritha Electric, fusion rock band from Paris to perform in Hyderabad on March 26

Tritha Electric is a psychedelic/fusion rock band from Paris / New Delhi, formed in 2010 by Tritha Sinha (vocals) and Paul Schneiter (drums), with the later addition of Tony Guinard (bass) and Mathias Durand (electric guitar). Playing an explosive blend of psychedelic rock, inspired by the German “Krautrock” of the 1970s and of Indian Classical and folk melodies, the band has played over 100 concerts across 3 continents during the 18-month tour which followed the release of the debut LP PaGLi in 2014.

March 26 will mark the band's first performance in Hyderabad. Hardrock cafe is the venue .Do expect to be unsettled by something you probably have never heard before!

PaGLI is about the metamorphosis of the Indian classical woman to a free, modern global individual ready to meet the world. The album is distributed by Sony Music.

Born in Kolkata, Tritha started training in North Indian classical music at the age of five and never stopped. She is currently a student of Santanu Bandhopadhyay from the Bishnupur Gharana. Versatile, agile, profound with a plummy richness of sound, Tritha’s dusky tones and throbbing intensity, vibrating and moving emotional commitment enthrall her audiences and leave the public spell- bound.
