An engineer by profession, the acting bug bit him in Intermediate when he had immense inclination towards performing arts.“Although I always had a certain understanding of movies, I hadn't thought of taking them up as a full-time career,” he says.

Abhinav adds, “It was during our college fest in third year (engineering) when a senior asked me to take part in a mime competition alongside him. I did and we stood second.”The actor says theatre boosted his confidence and it took the fear of auditioning out of him. In ‘Jagganatakam’, Abhinav plays the role of thief named Banti.

“Banti, is a god fearing thief working really working hard to successfully pull off a heist. And in course of his travel, he makes contact with other characters in the film,” Abhinav shares. Before his stint in the tinsel town, Abhinav says he worked in several short films that gave him experience to act in front of a camera.
