I have had great respect for the thespians and the giants of the industry – all of whom I had the great privilege to spend time with,” Big B posted on his blog.

He wrote about how Telugu cinema has made a mark, “Hindi cinema has been more universal because of its language factor, but the immense presence of the regional cinema is incredible, both in its output and in its commerce. Hindi cinema does not have the largest number of films in a year coming out of the country, its Telugu cinema .. and perhaps I may not be mistaken, even in its box office commercial revenues !!!”
“I consider myself fortunate and blessed to have lived in those heady times of the greats of language cinema – of Shivaji Ganesan, MGR, Nagesh, Gemini Ganesan, Savithri – of ANR, NTR – of Uttam Kumar, Soumitra Chatterji, Robi Ghosh, Madhabi, Chabi Biswas – of Rajkumar – of Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Motilal, V Shantaram, Meena Kumari, Waheeda Rehman, Nargis, Nutan, Tanuja… the names are simply endless .. all of them could never be contained in such a short medium of record ..,” he added.
