Narayana Murthy heaps high praise on Chiru and PK

Now that Pawan Kalyan has entered politics, many are waiting to see him become the Chief Minister

At the launch of the song ‘Pawanism’ from the film ‘Rey’ on Tuesday in Hyderabad, several renowned film personalities were in attendance. While each spoke at length, R Narayana Murthy, the chief guest of the event, went at length speaking about Chiranjeevi, the mega family and how he felt the film’s lead, Sai Dharam Tej, nephew of the Megastar, had a striking resemblance to the actor-tunred-politician.

“When I first saw Sai Dharam, I remembered Chiranjeevi in ‘Khaidi’. I had even suggested to YVS Chowdary that he should make a film like that with him. Having been in the fore for nearly 30 years, Chiranjeevi came alone and grew like a huge banyan tree. Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and Varun Tej have just added up to that tree,” said Murthy, known for left-oriented films that expose the exploitation of society's lower strata.

Speaking separately about Pawan, he described him as a combination of Rajinikanth’s electrifying and attractive persona and Chiranjeevi’s charisma. “Now that he has entered politics, many are waiting to see him become the Chief Minister,” he said.
