Still from 'Insurgent'‘Insurgents’ is the second of the ‘Divergent trilogy’ and is set in outer space where Divergents are the threat to the survival of the universe.

Beatrice ‘Tris’ Prior (Shaikel Woodley) is a Superwoman, Bond, Superman and Tarzan all rolled into one. And it is up to her to save the universe.

Tobias ‘Four’ Eaton (Theo James) is her boyfriend who seems to hide the fact that his mother Evelyn Johnson-Eaton (Naomi Watts) is the Factionless leader.

In this netherland world they also have an Erudite Screen and ironies are dropped like cents. In pursuit Tris jumps into speeding trains and climbs skyscrapers like Spiderman.

But the catch is that one of them is indeed a Divergent. Who?

For that one has to wade through 119 minutes of razzle-dazzlery which makes little sense (lie video games, this reviewer was told).

But for those looking for action for action’s sake it could be their cup of tea.Not for me. Big name Kate Winslet is lost in the milieu and whatever acting talent there might have been has been left in the cans.
