Lion on May 8

Finally, superstar Balakrishna’s fans can heave a sigh of relief. After a few setbacks – including the sudden demise of P Madhusudan Reddy who was in charge of the film’s sound engineering – ‘Lion’ is finally gearing up for a release on May 8. The film was initially scheduled to release on May 1.

Announcing the same on Wednesday in Hyderabad, producer Rudrapati Ramana Rao said, “The film will have its first show at 10.04 am on May 8.” He added, “Prakash Raj is playing a character with grey shades. We had considered a few other names before we decided that he would best suit the role.”

Co-starring Trisha and Radhika Apte alongside Balayya, the film, a directorial venture of Satya Deva, is touted to be a mass entertainer. Popular stunt master duo Ram and Laxman have choreographed action sequences for the flick.
