Hyderabad: Justice Vilas Afzalpurkar of the High Court at Hyderabad on Thursday refused to stay the Telugu film, Andhra Pori. The judge was dealing with a writ petition filed by K Veera Raghava Reddy President, Andhra Association of Telangana. The petitioner contended that in view of the charged and changed scenario of the state bifurcation, the title of the film was unwarranted. He also complained that the word ‘Pori’ was derogatory and the film ought not to have been certified. The judge refused to interdict in the matter at this stage and dismissed the petition.
