Excited but nervous about Baahubali. For Prabhas, it was not easy to play the dual role of a father and son in the upcoming Telugu-Tamil two-part epic drama ‘Baahubali’ as he had to undergo a strict diet and training regime.

For Prabhas, it was not easy to play the dual role of a father and son in the upcoming Telugu-Tamil two-part epic drama ‘Baahubali’ as he had to undergo a strict diet and training regime.

Prabhas, who is sporting two different looks in the SS Rajamouli directorial – a heavy body for the father Amarendra Baahubali and a lean physique for his son Shivudu, said he is nervous when he thinks about the fate of the movie.

"I am just waiting for the release. I am both nervous and excited about how people will receive the film. I really worked hard for it, especially on my physique. Sometimes I used to eat only eggs for 30-40 days to get into shape for one character," Prabhas said.

The actor said he learnt sword fighting, kick-boxing, kung-fu and horse riding for the film. "For the action sequences, we did a lot of sword fighting with Vietnamese fighters. Peter Hein choreographed the action sequences and taught us kick-boxing, kung-fu, horse riding.

"A shot in one of the songs required me to jump from a hill into a waterfall. That shot required 25 days of shoot as we had to train for rock climbing before that," Prabhas said. Prabhas said Rajamouli, with whom he last worked in super hit ‘Chatrapati’ (2005), has grown bigger and has become better over the years.

"10 years ago, when I worked with Rajamouli, we shot the film for 70 days or 100 days. But now, we shot this film for over 300 days. “‘Baahubali' is ten thousand times bigger than 'Chatrapati'. Rajamouli is madly passionate about his films. Without him, nothing would have happened." The first part of film, ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’, will hit theatres on July 10, 2015.
