The budget for Pawan Kalyan-starrer ‘Gabbar Singh 2’, according to sources, has overshot for the first schedule. There are also chances that Anisha Ambrose, the film’s leading lady, may be replaced by a fresh face

There was apparently a lot of confusion on the sets of superstar Pawan Kalyan-starrer ‘Gabbar Singh 2’ in its first schedule. While the film’s second shooting schedule was to commence on June 15, Hans Talkies has learnt that Pawan, who was recently spotted hitting a gym in Bengaluru to get into fine shape for the project, has decided to defer it to this month end to set the house in order.

A source close to the development points out, “The budget for the first schedule went a bit overboard and though such slipups are bound to happen, Pawan was unhappy about it. Also, several changes in the film’s crew have taken place. For starters Pawan’s favourite art director Anand Sai, owing to other commitments, has made way for Brahma Kadali. Even a co-director was replaced.”

“There was also no clarity on what was happening on the sets during the first schedule which lasted for less than a week. This irked Pawan who vented his anger against the unit. It is surprising considering that the unit invested a lot of time on pre-production,” the source adds.

As the whole team takes stock of the situation before the start of the second schedule, the source confides that there are also high chances that ‘Alias Janaki’ girl Anisha Ambrose may be replaced.

When her name was announced as the heroine last year, Pawan’s fans didn’t take a liking to it as they felt that she was too small a heroine in reputation to romance him. “It isn’t definite but auditions are on for a new face and if anyone exhibits great deal of potential, the replacement might take place.”
