Galani alleged that despite the film failing to click, three months after its release, he apparently received a notice from Salman Khan asking him for Rs 15 crore, to which Galani replied saying it was to be given if the film did well, which it didn't.

The matter was taken up at the CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes Association) and FWICE (Federation of Western Cine Employees) with Salman approaching them and the latter body issued non-cooperation to the producer. Claiming the move wasn’t valid as only if two bodies issue the letter it could be so, the producer approached the court to intervene.

It is said that as long as the case was in court (nearly 3-4 years) the actor’s representatives didn’t attend any hearings and finally Galani won the case. The producer has now filed a defamation suit against the actor and has sued him for Rs 250 crores as compensation for the “mental agony and harassment” he went through.
