Actress seeks week’s time to tender apology

The PIL bench granted one week time to film actress Mallika Sherawat to file her written apology to the court in connection with a case for obscene use of the Indian tricolour. The bench is dealing with a writ plea filed by T. Dhanagopal Rao questioning the involvement of the actress in the course of the film Dirty Politics.

It was the case of the petitioner that it was shown contrary to law. According to the film maker it is a scene that was not used in the film but creeped into public domain through modern technology without any authority of law. The actress nonetheless sought a week’s time to tender a written apology that such action will not be repeated in future.
