After impressing one and all with his menacing outing in Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s ‘Yennai Arindhaal’ (Yentha Vaadu Gaanie in Telugu) earlier this year, actor Arun Vijay is now Tollywood bound. The actor is playing a baddie in Ram Charan’s next with Sreenu Vaitla.

Arun, who has already started shooting for the film, says, “I was offered many films after ‘Yennai Arindhaal’ but I was waiting for the right project. It was during this period that I was offered this film with Charan. It’s a big team and a big project, so I said yes. Moreover, Charan and Vaitla insisted that I be a part of the film. It’s a powerful character and will be presented stylishly.”

Son of veteran south actor Vijayakumar, Arun says language is not a barrier for him. “I watch a lot of Telugu films. In fact, I’m aware of what’s happening in the other south industries too. Language has never been a barrier for me. Moreover, Telugu is a sweet language and don’t be surprised if I dub for the film – provided the makers are happy with my accent, of course,” he avers.

The actor has shot a few sequences with Charan. “He is sweet and very talented. I’ve seen all his films. When I was offered the film I thought it will be good to be pitted against him because both of us are very good at stunts.”

Describing Vaitla as cool-headed and a thorough professional, he says, “He knows his craft very well. He has etched an interesting character for me. He doesn’t restrict his actors and is open to suggestions.

“When he first narrated the script to me, he said, ‘Arun, I want you to do it by yourself because I liked your style and performance from ‘Yennai Arindhaal’. If it was someone else I would have lead the way but since it’s you I want you to portray it in your own way’.”
