Pulkit Samrat made his debut with "Bitto Boss" and there has been no looking back for this cool dude. With "Fukrey", he entered the Excel entertainment production house and has become the blue-eyed boy of the Production house. Apart from being a good actor Pulkit is a good cook too. His latest offering 'Bangistan' also starring Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez has hit the theatres on Friday. While the movie's message is being appreciated, the actor shares some interesting insights.

On Bangistan: Pulkit shares, "It's very funny and satirical film based on important issues. How it's misused by fundamentalist parties for terrorism."

Cooking Skills: The actor says, “I cook south Kerala food, Chinese, Japanese, sushi and Indian food. Once I made dal with mango. Gud ka Halwa and Phirni are one of my favorites. I learnt cooking because my Mom wasn't there with me."

Pulkit's belief in omnipresent God: "I am not controlled by any one God. I pray to every God. I go to church, dargah, Gurudwara and temples. My family is like that - wherever you find peace, it can be on top of the mountain too. What's wrong is the interpretation of the holy books by the people who are translating that is what actually boils down to all this.”

Pulkit's friendship with those who can cook: "I have been shy and a difficult kid. I take time to adjust to people and open up with people whom I know. From the industry there are no friends. Friends don’t matter whether they are from the industry or not. Everybody I worked with I have been comfortable with. I make friends with people who love food. Once we shot in Chandni Chowk and we had the best food. Riteish would get food from home. He brought theplas from his home and it was spicy that was the only Indian food. They called me Raju Guide as I knew every nook and galli. I had local food. We would get sandwiches with lot of meat, a variety of it. We used to pack up in the night and go to the store which was open 24x7 and we would have food. I would wait for Riteish and Anshuman.”

Cooking varieties: Pulkit shares, "Once I called people for lunch I served them food at night 1 AM. I have pancakes for breakfast with my mom. She taught me how to make lacha paratha. I make pancakes with cafe mocha. My wife is a fabulous cook and makes sure that I have good food. When we go out, we learnt how to cook food from local people. I learnt to prepare lalmaas and dalbati. I can make Kheema Biryani, mutton koftas and egg stuffed with Kheema - Kussimiyan it's called.

Favourite Cookery show: "I watch Master Chef a lot. I also want to participate in one of the cookery shows at a later stage," concludes Pulkit.
