“This is my first show as a lead actor and I am thrilled to essay the character of Karn on television. It’s a very interesting role and I consider myself lucky to have got the opportunity to play such a powerful part,” Vasant said in a statement.
“I have been going through intense training for the role as I will start shooting soon. The cast boasts of some brilliant actors and I am looking forward to work and learn from each and every one of them,” he added.
The show, which is aired on Sony Entertainment Television, is based on the life of Karn, the mythological character of Hindu epic Mahabharata.
