Anil KapoorAnil Kapoor, who starred in and produced 24, the Indian adaptation of the eponymous show, is geared for its second season, and says viewers will be treated to some new cast members.

Anil, who has starred in a season of the American 24, brought a 'desi' version of the show to Indian TV screens with the same title via Colors in 2013. It was a refreshing change not just in terms of the concept and production values, but also had an impressive line-up of actors like Shabana Azmi, Tisca Chopra and Mandira Bedi.

Now a second season will soon be in place. "We will have a new star cast, a lot of new people are going to be there," Anil, who himself essayed Anti-Terrorist Unit chief Jai Singh Rathore in the show, Anil said.

Asked if the trend of adapting foreign TV shows for the Indian small screen -- the latest being "Sumit Sambhal Lega", which is adapted from "Everybody Loves Raymond" -- can be equated to the idea of 'playing safe', the 58-year-old shared, "There is nothing wrong with adaptations.
