I don’t think I can write for Chiru: Vijayendra Prasad

Amidst reports that he has been approached to pen megastar Chiranjeevi’s next, eminent writer Vijayendra Prasad, who has caught the attention of the country with ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’, has dismissed such reports as “mere speculation.”

“Moreover, I don’t think I have the confidence to write his film,” he said when contacted. “It should have the potential of three-four ‘Baahubali’s and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’s mixed together. Anything less than that will not satisfy his fans. It is impossible to match the expectations,” he said.

Is he open to write for Chiru if Charan and co. approaches him? “Hoping is one thing whereas reality is other. Every writer would be interested to write for him but I don’t think I can match the expectations riding on the film,” he responded.

He said he can come up with a good script for Charan and Allu Arjun but not Chiranjeevi. “If you have to write for him, you have to keep his 149 films in mind and write a draft which is completely new. Moreover, it will be compared to ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ and I don’t want such comparisons.”
