After Mega star, Power star, Megapower star, Stylish star, now Sai Dharam Tej has become Supreme star. Sai Dharam Tej- Harish Shankar 'Subramanyam For Sale' hit screens on Thursday. Let’s see whether this Subramanyam was sold for a record price or not.

Story:

Subramanyam(Sai Dharam Tej) is a money minded person and can do anything for money. He goes to the US to support his family who lives in India. Seetha (Regina Cassandra) is in the US with her long time boy-friend Abhi (Ranadheer) by ditching her family. But she is ditched by Ranadheer big time. Any guesses here? Yes. Our hero Subramanyam comes to her rescue.

Harish Shankar could not make the couple go rosy but lands Seetha in deep problem. Subramanyam strikes a deal with Regina to save her. He lands in India along with Seetha to solve her problem. Turns and twists start here. Will Subramanyam solve Seetha's problems? How Seetha's family members misunderstand them? Watch the film on big screen to find out.

Analysis:

Finally, Director Harish Shankar who was called a one-film wonder after the debacle of NTR's Ramayya Vasthavayya, can heave a huge sigh of relief! He has now proved that Gabbar Singh success was not entirely a star’s jadoo! He has cemented his place as a promising commercial director with this film.

But Harish Shankar has included all the elements that a fan expects from his movies. His dialogues are witty and precise with the right punch and fortunately action, comedy, drama and songs does not go overboard. Harish has smartly played a safe game with subtlety and decent share of comedy!

The plot becomes predictable to any avid cine-goer but what keeps the fare engaging is the director’s narration. Of course, the first half looks extended with yet another predictable interval block. When you are rightly scared that the film is hitting the clichéd path, Harish wittily pulls the wagon with some more fun and family drama. Even that eventually gets lackadaisical with the characters conveniently taking a ‘U’ turn with a single dialogue but only to wrap up the drama and bring in the much needed happy ending (fortunately with no routine out-of-the-world fights).

Performances: Though it's his third film for Sai Dharam Tej, he steals the show all the way and manages to pull off his role well. He appears to have worked hard and has done quite well in the film. He looks quite energetic and dances, fights and gets his comic timing right. It won't be wrong to say here that he may surpass all the stars in the mega family.

Before Regina, there is one major role in the film that is played by Brahmanandam as ‘Chintakai’. His fans have missed him in many films, but he is back with a bang with different comedy. His comedy scenes with Tej have come out well.

Regina is her usual best. She looks quite gorgeous and carries off her part with ease. Fish Venkat's one liners are a laugh riot.

Technical aspects:

Mickey J Meyer's is a big asset and his numbers are peppy. Screenplay is good. Editing could have been better in the second half.
