It’s a romantic thriller, not a romedy: Indraganti

Fresh from the success of ‘Bhale Bhale Magadivoy’, actor Nani will be joining forces with mentor Indraganti Mohana Krishna for a new project, the filming of which kick-starts in early December.

While gossip mills went onto overdrive claiming that the film will be another romedy on the lines of the actor-director duo’s ‘Astha Chamma’, director Mohana Krishna was quick to clarify the genre when contacted.

“It’s not a romantic comedy. It’s an unusual emotional love story with thriller elements and humour woven into it,” he said. “It’s a new genre for me, Nani and Tollywood too. Setting-wise it will be my biggest film till date.”

The director has also got a strong supporting cast in the place for the film. “Ramaprabha, Tanikella Bharani, Rohini, Pavitra Lokesh and Srinivas Avasarala will form the support cast and they will be playing parts that they haven’t essayed earlier. We are currently sorting out their dates.”

Surabhi and Niveda Thomas will be playing Nani’s romantic interests. “There’s no first or second leading lady of the film as both are extremely pivotal to the plot and more or less will get equal screen space,” he concluded.
