Krish and Varun Tej are likely to team up again

As announced by them during the press of ‘Kanche’, director Krish and actor Varun Tej are indeed in discussions to team up again for a new endeavour.

“Krish was very impressed with Varun’s performance in ‘Kanche’, so much so that he decided to collaborate with the actor again. He has recently bounced a story idea to Varun and the actor has agreed in principle to star in the film,” said a source.

Added the source, “The filmmaker is currently working on the final draft and shall come up with a bound script in a month. A final meeting with the actor will decide when the project will move on to floors considering that Varun is also committed to do a movie with Gopichand Malineni, the filming of which will kick-off early next year.”

The source said the film will not be a remake as speculated. “It’ll be an original story that’ll show Varun in a rugged avatar. It will be an actioner set in contemporary times.”

Meanwhile, Varun who recently returned from a holiday is fast wrapping up the dubbing work of his forthcoming film ‘Loafer’, directed by Puri Jagannadh.
