Amidst speculations that VV Vinayak was shown the door from helming ‘Kaththi’ remake post the dismal showing of his recent effort ‘Akhil’, Ram Charan, who will be producing the remake, which will mark his father Chiranjeevi’s full-fledged comeback to acting, has confirmed that the top-drawer director is on board.
“Dad will be starring in ‘Kaththi’ remake and it will be directed by Vinayak,” said Charan in Bangalore over the weekend. The project will be Chiranjeevi's 151st film and it will go on floors early next year. Originally helmed by AR Murugadoss, the actioner dealt with problems faced by farmers due to multi-national corporations.
