The makers are currently shooting in Chennai. "Some important sequences are being shot in prime locations in Chennai. Since Akshay is in disguise, shooting in crowded places is not turning out to be a headache for the unit," said a source.
Rajinikanth, who is currently holidaying in the US, is expected to join the sets of the project from the first week of July. Also starring Amy Jackson and Sudhanshu Pandey, ‘2.0’ is the sequel to ‘Robot’. Slated to release next year, the film features Rajinikanth as scientist Vaseegaran, and Akshay plays the main antagonist.
