I’ve been in the industry for 30 years and you’ve did only one film with me. With Chaitanya you’ve done two films. This is not right,” Nag said in a lighter vein addressing Rahman. “But as long as it’s in the family it’s ok.”

Superstar Nagarjuna, who attended the soundtrack launch of his son Naga Chaitanya-starrer ‘Sahasam Swaasaga Saagipo’ in Hyderabad on Friday, lamented the fact that the film’s musician AR Rahman did only one film with him.

I’ve been in the industry for 30 years and you’ve did only one film with me. With Chaitanya you’ve done two films. This is not right,” Nag said in a lighter vein addressing Rahman. “But as long as it’s in the family it’s ok.”

Praising Rahman, he added, “He is an inspiration to everyone. He is simply excellent.”The actor further said that film’s “Vellipomaake” number made him emotional.

When I was listening to the number all alone in my room, Amala found tears rolling down my eyes. The song took me somewhere… and now I see the visuals of the song, Gautham took it to another level.”

Nag also said that film’s director Gautham Menon keeps telling him he will make a film with him but isn’t. “Every time he starts a film with Chaitanya he comes to me and says, ‘Sir, I have a script for you, will you be interested in playing a villain?’ Despite me telling yes, he hasn’t come to me with a script yet. He simply disappears. I’m still waiting for him to make a film with me.”

Rahman said that when Gautham came to him with the visuals of the songs, he had to re-work on the tune that he gave him earlier. “I’ve gave him a tune two years ago and when he came to me with the visuals of the song a year ago, I felt the composition was dated, causing me to re-work on it,” the two-time Academy Award winning composer said.
