Veligonda saves the day for Malineni

Thanks to the script of Veligonda Srinivas, Sai Dharam Tej’s project with Gopichand Malineni is back on track

It was not long ago that there were reports that Sai Dharam Tej’s next with Gopichand Malineni was shelved, only for the latter to clarify in the strongest of words. However, our sources inform that the project indeed ran into trouble but for the quick thinking of Malineni.

Although Sai, it is understood, was happy with the plot line originally narrated to him, he wasn’t too kicked about with the final script. He communicated the same to the director, who later had to scrap what he had been developing for the past 4-5 months.

Just when the rumour mills went into overdrive with the news that the project was called off, Malineni quickly put his thinking cap on. He roped in writer Veligonda Srinivas and asked him to start working on a fresh script, which is apparently based on father sentiment. Sai took a liking to the new line much to the relief of Malineni.

“Malineni was trying to give an innovative finish to the existing plotline, which did not go down well with Sai. Just when whispers started doing the rounds that all is not well with the project, the director roped in Veligonda whose script inspired Sai and saved the project. Sreedhar Seepana has also joined the team to pen the dialogues,” confirms a source close to the unit.
