Jagapathi Babu has lent his voice to the Telugu translation of Hollywood heavy hitter Steven Spielberg’s ‘The Big Friendly Giant’(BFG). Speaking at a presser in Hyderabad on Saturday, the actor said when he was asked to dub for the Telugu version he felt excited and happily agreed. “

The dubbing process has been magical and my voice is sounding very new to me. Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice for the Hindi version of ‘BFG’ and I feel privileged to be in the same company as he is. We both voiced for the character BFG.”

He added, “When I started off as an actor, other artistes dubbed for my role and now I’m giving my voice-over to other actors. It’s a new experience.”

The BFG’ is based on author Roald Dahl’s eponymous 1982 novel of the same name. Original cast of the project includes Oscar-winner Mark Rylance, playing the 24-feet-tall gentle giant BFG and Ruby Barnhall playing Sophie, the orphan who becomes friends with the BFG. It is scheduled to release shortly.
