Fresh from the success of her latest release ‘Hyper’, the going certainly seems good for actress Raashi Khanna. “I’m in a happy space right now. I’m quite pleased with the way my career graph is progressing. I was a bit slow to start off but fortunately interesting scripts came my way and I went on a signing spree,” she reveals.

Accolades continue to pour in for her performance, especially the comic moments in the Ram-starrer. The actress puts in, “I guess after ‘Supreme’ filmmakers have started scripting few comic moments to my character (smiles) but I glad that my role is getting more substantial and not just eye-candy. Ram has been a cool star and we’re happy that our pairing has clicked this time around.”

Having been part of a slew of commercial films, the Delhi-born opines that the roles have changed her a lot as a person. She states, “I started getting challenging roles with commercial flicks and it gave me an opportunity to open up as an actor. The roles have challenged me and in the process made me shed my inhibitions, so I loved being part of commercial cinema in meaningful roles. I think the best part of being an actress is that I get the chance to step into the shoes of different roles and explore myself as a person.”

Raashi is glad that she’s debuting in Kollywood opposite Siddharth in ‘Shaitaan Ka Bachcha’, directed by Karthik G Krish. The actress says that she does not want to stick to one industry. "My preference is good cinema. If the script is exciting, I would love to be a part of it, be it any industry, any language.

I always wanted to debut in Tamil with a meaty character and the opportunity finally seems to have arrived, so I green-lit it. I have already started shooting for the action comedy. It was indeed difficult to get used to the language (Tamil), and I goofed up - speaking in Telugu for my Tamil lines (laughs),” reveals Raashi, who is paired opposite Atharvaa in her second Tamil film directed by R Ajay Gnanamuthu.
