Mohanlal to promote Kanupapa in Telugu
Buoyed by the success of ‘Manyam Puli’, which is still doing good in ‘B’ and ‘C’ centres, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will be flying down to Hyderabad to promote ‘Kanupapa’, Telugu dubbed version of his Malayalam hit ‘Oppam’.

The celebrated actor has partnered with One Overseas Network Entertainment's B Dilip Kumar to release the flick in Telugu states this month-end.
“Yes, Lal will be promoting the film in Hyderabad. Although he starred in ‘Manamantha’ and ‘Janatha Garage’, he didn’t promote them here but that’s going to change with ‘Kanupapa’,” says a source close to the development. “He was pleasantly surprised with the way ‘Manyam Puli’ has opened in Telugu. He wants to capitalise on it and expand his market here.”
In the film, Mohanlal plays a blind elevator operator who wrongly gets suspected for a murder. Also starring Vimala Raman, Samuthirakani, Anusree and Nedumudi Venu, the Priyadarshan directorial, released in September in Kerala, has minted over Rs 50 crore.
