Although behind the initial plan by a couple of months, the filming of Ram Charan’s next with Sukumar will finally kick off early next month. Sources close to the production house have informed Talkies that Sukumar has dropped the idea of shooting the film in Godavari belt, fearing mega fans and general public thronging in big numbers and causing inconvenience to the unit.

A source close to the production house confirms, “Hope Island, Kakinada and Kothapalli, East Godavari will no longer host the unit. The location has shifted to Pollachi, Karaikudi and a couple of other TN places bordering Kerala. Sukumar and his cinematographer Rathnavelu are currently on a recce in Karaikudi and once they return, the final shoot schedule will be prepared. The director is planning to wrap up the film in three long schedules with the first one alone set to go on for a month.”

Although the makers have earlier said that Jagapathi Babu will be playing a key role, we hear that his casting is not yet finalised. “Actor-filmmaker Suresh Chandra Menon too is in the race along with Jagapathi to play the role. It’s a villain part and has been very interestingly etched. Also, Aadhi Pinisetty is in consideration to play Charan’s brother, which is a part to die for. If talks with him fail to fructify, the makers are planning to go ahead with Vaibhav as they don’t want to waste anymore time.”
