Malayalam star Dulquer Salman who endeared himself to Telugu audiences with his looks and performance in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ok Bangaram’ has apparently been roped in for a major role in ‘Mahanati’.
Malayalam star Dulquer Salman who endeared himself to Telugu audiences with his looks and performance in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ok Bangaram’ has apparently been roped in for a major role in ‘Mahanati’. Directed by Nag Ashwin (of ‘Evade Subrahmanyam’ fame), the movie is a biopic on the life of great yesteryear actress Savithri.
Industry sources say that the unit of ‘Mahanati’ had been on the lookout for some time now to find a suitable person for the role of Gemini Ganesan, Savithri’s husband in real life and that Dulquer Salman has finally been shortlisted. An official confirmation regarding the same is expected from the makers shortly. Keerthy Suresh is essaying the role of Savithri, the greatest ever actress in the history of Tollywood.
