According to sources, Since last year February the couple have been living separately. They sought divorce by mutual consent citing the difference of opinion in September last year. On June 23rd this year, They both have attended the court hearing in Chennai. Today, a Chennai family based court granted a divorce to Soundarya from her husband R. Ashwin.
