After a dud like ‘Anamika’, the ace director returns to his comfort zone and dishes out a light-hearted romantic comedy. In fact, director gave a much-needed hit to Varun Tej and also made a star out of talented actress Sai Pallavi.
“Her spirited performance is one of the highlights of this love story. While Varun Tej fits into the boy-next-door lover boy role with consummate ease,” says distributor Ramakrishna. The director who is known for hits like ‘Anand’ and ‘Happy Days’ wanted to try out a different genre with ‘Anamika’, remake of Bollywood blockbuster ‘Kahaani’ and made changes but it failed to impress Telugu viewers.
Sensibly, Sekhar took a long break for almost 3 years and returned with a heartwarming script and revived his winning habit. His teaming up with Dil Raju, has proved a success once again, since it was the former who released ‘Happy Days’ which minted money even in remote areas and took Sekhar closer to masses.
T-town can boast of a handful of tasteful filmmakers and Sekhar leads the pack and his return, augurs well for directors who are adept in penning feel-good entertainers.
