Stan Lee's production company to bring 5 new superhero films

Los Angeles: A Chinese film company is teaming up with Marvel comics legend Stan Lee's POW! Entertainment to develop five superhero films.

Former Marvel vice president Bob Sabouni will be serving as an art consultant on the projects, reported Variety. The new Beijing-based company, Linking Star Picture, unveiled Monday, is a joint venture by Beijing Film, Beijing Novo United Films, and Hong Kong-based Camsing International, which owns POW! Entertainment.

Apart from the POW! projects, Linking Star has also set up a fund to support young talents and Chinese superhero projects. Lee was retained in the deal as POW!'s chief creative officer.
